Where does the coffee come from?

Originally our coffee was purchased from farmers and brokers in the Addis Ababa region of Ethiopia and roasted by women who participate in a self-help group at Yezelalem Minch. These were the early days.  Because we have grown and are not able to keep our supply up in this way, we also purchase Ethiopian Yirgacheffe beans that are fresh roasted in the USA on demand.  This option insures us a more reliable, consistent and fresh product to sell.

The idea is simple:

We buy and sell coffee Ethiopian coffee and send 100% of the profits to Ethiopia to support the Yezelalem Minch feeding program.  Each bag of Blue Nile coffee you purchase helps to feed orphans at Yezelalem Minch!
